Blows WordPress away
Having almost zero experience with databases or CMS, and a “past” Word Press user, Joomla is the way to go. I needed more that “a blog” Joomla, is almost scary with the power it offers. I have spoken to their support teams and found clear answers. Joomla makes a novice look like a pro. It is exciting to know my websites will be easy to use, thank you to all those men and women, that work so hard to deliver such a great product.

Great CMS system for the money!
I have created many websites (in minutes) using this product and I highly recommend it for the other computer dunderheads out there like me. I am not a professional coder, programmer, or hacker. I can honestly say that Joomla has made building websites easy for me and it's worth every penny! Go install a local copy with xampp running on your wk station and give it a go. If you like it then install a copy on your site.

GREAT...but not for the faint of heart, or newbies
This is a powerful and flexible content management system. No, it's not simple; it's relatively easy to install and set up, but then the customizations can be complex and tricky. It's ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! A Joomla!-driven site scales well, performs well and, with the extensive library of excellent plug-ins available, is incredibly flexible for both business and personal use. Almost all of our client sites are built on Joomla!

Joomla's the way to go for a CMS. The others well are they CMS' at all?
You really cannot compare the way ppl are here. Just because godaddy lumps all these apps into a CMS doesn't mean they are. If you want a CMS and a true platform for building web bases applications - notice I say applications and not websites, than Joomla is the way to go. If you want a blog and nothing else go wordpress. If you are a developer and developing for yourself you can go Drupal or Joomla. If you want a combination of blog, forum, website, e-commerce than Joomla. Basically, Joomla is a platform. For example did you know you can run wordpress inside Joomla? If so, how can you compare Joomla with Wordpress. It doesn't make sense. Looking a little more at the list. Mambo is basically dead. Moodle is a course delivery application that will work with Joomla using Joomdle. DoNetNuke is a CMS for Windows only. Xoops is lost is fame .... So before you go choosing one over the other ensure you know what you are implementing / what you need ... In terms of ease of use, Naturally wordpress is easier. Its a blog application that allows modules / blocks / widgets to load up other content. But it is still a blog site. Joomla is a platform - so know what you are doing but not to the point of being a developer. Drupal - bring out your php coding book. You need to be a developer.
